Groundbreaking efficiency
With up to 94% efficiency, these chargers produce up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Additionally, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 7-stage charging algorithm
The 12/15(1) Blue Smart charger is characterized by its microprocessor-controlled, “adaptive” battery management. “Adaptive” means that the charging process is automatically adapted to the type of battery use.
Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is idle
The storage mode is always activated if there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The trickle charge voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas development and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once pro week the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This creates a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation - the two main causes of premature battery failure.

The smart solar MPPT 150/45 from Victron Energy (MPN SCC115045212), is part of the latest generation of smart solar controllers from the Dutch premium manufacturer and processes a whopping 45A solar power and can work flexibly with 12/24/36/48 V batteries. Ultra-fast power tracking and automatic power point detection in the event of partial shading are just 2 of the many highlights of this new device class. The SmartSolar 150/45 is also available as a version with MC4 connections on the solar side of the charge controller instead of screw terminals.
