Flexible solar panels for special surfaces
Flexible solar panels are thin and bendable and can be used where a rigid glass panel does not fit. Typical examples are curved roofs, motorhomes or lightweight structures. The collection is aimed at DIY builders, campers and operators of buildings with limited load-bearing capacity.
When choosing, the surface and fastening count. Flexible panels are often glued or fastened with eyelets; the surface must be suitable and clean for this. Also note that panels without rear ventilation can heat up more, which affects output. Also check the voltage, connectors and the dimensions of the panel.
In our range you will find the Sunman panel with 310 W (SMF310M-5X12DW). The product page shows the variants.
Flexible panels react more sensitively to kinks and pressure marks than framed panels. Take care during transport and installation and have the manufacturer's instructions for installation shown to you.

Frequently asked questions
How is a flexible panel fastened?
Gluing with suitable mounting adhesive or fastening eyelets at the edge are common. Which method is permitted is stated in the manufacturer's instructions. The surface must be load-bearing, clean and suitable for the adhesive.
What applications is the panel suitable for?
For surfaces on which a rigid panel is too heavy or unsuitable, such as vehicle or boat roofs. For conventional roof systems, framed glass panels are mostly used. We are happy to advise you on the choice.
How long does a flexible panel last?
Durability depends on material, installation and environment. The manufacturer states specific warranty periods in the product documents. We do not make any further promises about service life but refer to this information.
