Our AC ELWA 2 is a 0 – 3.5 kW continuously controlled hot water heating device for grid-connected photovoltaic systems. The AC ELWA 2 uses excess photovoltaic energy for your hot water preparation and thereby optimizes the internal consumption of the existing PV system. At the same time, self-sufficiency is increased - this protects against incalculable or rising operating costs. Thanks to the stepless control, the PV feed-in power is adjusted to zero. The AC ELWA 2 has our tried and tested optional hot water protection: Even if the sun doesn't shine sufficiently, the hot water can be brought to the desired temperature using energy from the public power grid. The device can be installed in hot water and buffer tanks.Advantages of the AC ELWA 2:
More power: 3.5 kW instead of 3.0 kW
Easiest installation: The heating element and the control unit can be attached one after the other.
Easy to use thanks to the display like the AC•THOR
Multiple communication options: in addition to Ethernet RJ45, also WLAN, RS485, PWM-in, potential-free switching output
External temperature sensor included
An external 3 kW heating element can be connected
Even more compact design than its predecessor
Fixed wiring no cable with Schuko plug
Simple conversion of the AC ELWA-E to AC ELWA 2

The P1 digital meter interface is intended exclusively for connecting the PV power managers AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s to the P1 digital meter via the Modbus RTU gateway and thus being able to evaluate information about excess power from the photovoltaic system without an additional meter. Any other use may damage the P1 digital meter interface. Before commissioning, carefully read the AC•THOR assembly instructions and the operating manual available online.
Connect the RJ12 connector of the interface to the right socket of the electricity meter P1. Connect the AC•THOR Modbus RTU gateway to the interface terminal block using a shielded three-core cable (length: max. 1000 m). Connect points A and B on the AC•THOR side of the cable to the included 120 Ω resistor.

The screw-in heater 3 kW was developed in particular for use with the photovoltaic power manager AC•THOR and the screw-in heater 9 kW for use with the photovoltaic power manager AC•THOR 9s. The screw-in heaters can be installed in fresh water and buffer tanks. Their special design results in only very low thermal surface loads on the heating elements, which directly contributes to increasing the product's service life.R or AC•THOR 9s
Infinitely adjustable using the photovoltaic power manager AC•THOR or AC•THOR 9sThe desired hot water temperature can be set using a rotary knob. The AC•THOR or AC•THOR 9s recognizes the shutdown and automatically goes into standby mode for minimal internal consumption.
A standard safety temperature limiter is of course integrated.
However, for some projects higher temperatures are desired, for example if a buffer storage needs to be charged to over 90°C. The screw-in radiators are also available without a thermostat, only with a safety temperature limiter. To end the heating process, you must always use the temperature sensor that is included with the AC•THOR and the AC•THOR 9s.
Advantages
With manually adjustable target temperature (bimetal thermostat)
1.5 inch standard thread
Single-phase or three-phase
Optionally also without thermostat, only with safety temperature limiter
Technical data 3kW
Heating output: 0 - 3,000 W
Mains connection: Single-phase, earthing contact plug, 230 V, 50 Hz
Protection class: IP45
Connection cable: 2.8 m
Dimensions (W x H x D): 88 x 88 x 518 mm

ELWA is a 2kW photovoltaic water heating device. Direct current from photovoltaic modules is transferred directly to the built-in heating element and immediately converted into heat without loss. The built-in MPP tracker ensures that the PV generator is always operated at the optimal operating point (similar to a PV inverter). No connection to the power grid is required for operation, as the device is powered by the PV generator (pure island operation). The desired hot water temperature is set using a rotary knob, and LED displays provide information about the current device status.

The ELWA Modbus interface acts as a link to a Modbus bus system. Due to the bus capability, it is necessary to assign bus addresses when operating multiple devices.
The ELWA Modbus interface can be used with all ELWA devices with firmware version 1.30 or higher. Devices with serial numbers smaller than 120100160810xxxx are equipped with earlier firmware versions.

The AC•THOR can also take over hot water preparation and ensure the desired water temperature. The my-PV temperature sensor is required for this. Three single-phase heating elements can be connected and each equipped with its own temperature sensor.
The AC•THOR always comes with a temperature sensor; others may need to be purchased separately.

The my-PV WiFi Meter maximizes the internal consumption of your PV system in the simplest way.
The my-PV WiFi Meter analyzes the power flows of the photovoltaic system. my-PV devices receive wireless information from the WiFi meter. This means that only the energy that is currently available is used to generate heat. There is therefore no feed into the power grid: PV self-consumption is maximized and the public low-voltage grid is relieved. The my-PV WiFi Meter is installed directly after the energy supplier's meter in the distribution cabinet and measures the load flow via three external folding current transformers. Parameterization is easily possible via a web interface.
