The Fronius Reserva Module is a high-voltage battery module (LFP) for the DC-coupled Reserva storage family. With two to five modules and a BMS base module, towers of 6.3 to 15.8 kWh are created; it is matched to Fronius hybrid inverters. The module is intended for operators who use a Fronius hybrid inverter (for example GEN24 Plus) and want to build up or expand their storage system in a modular way. A BMS base module is also required for operation; the total voltage of a tower depends on the number of modules (for example 204.8 V with 2 modules). The Fronius Reserva BMS & Base is the heart of the Reserva storage system and handles battery management and basic control for the high-voltage system. It is designed for connecting 2 to 5 Reserva modules per tower (capacities from 6.3 to 15.8 kWh) and also allows parallel operation of up to four towers. The BMS controller optimises charging and discharging, monitors cells and protects against overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuits. With protection class IP65, the device is suitable for sheltered outdoor areas and indoor spaces. Communication takes place via an RS485 interface, which allows integration into PV systems. Combined with Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverters, a low-loss and efficient system is achieved.
