PV junction boxes and surge protection
A PV junction box combines the cables of the panel strings before they are led to the inverter, and often houses surge protection and disconnecting devices. This collection is aimed at installers and operators of roof systems.
First clarify the inverter: the boxes from the Conduct brand are model-specific and carry the device type in the name, for example for SolarEdge, Sunny Boy, Sunny Tripower or Huawei SUN2000. For the Citel boxes, surge protection is the focus; they are specified as Type 1 or Type 2. Also pay attention to voltage, number of strings and installation location.

That depends on the system, inverter and requirements. Some inverters come with protection and disconnection, others do not. Your electrical contractor decides what is required in each case.
