SMA inverters and energy management
SMA is one of the well-known German manufacturers of solar inverters. In this collection you will find devices for private roof systems and commercial projects, plus Energy Meters and charging solutions that can be integrated into an existing SMA system.
Start with the rated power and the number of phases. The models of the STP SE series are designated as hybrid inverters for Smart Energy; if you are planning storage, look closely here. The Energy Meter records consumption and feed-in at the grid connection. For larger roof systems, the Sunny Tripower X comes into consideration.
Our range includes the types STP 5.0 to 10.0 in the SE and AV-40 variants, Sunny Tripower X with 12 to 25 kW, the STP Core1 and the EV Charger 7.4 and 22.
Include communication in your planning: whether your device is connected via Wi-Fi, LAN or only locally determines how conveniently you can view yields. Check the equipment of the respective variant, because for the STP 8.0-3AV-40, for example, a version without Wi-Fi is explicitly listed.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SE and AV?
In the product titles, SE designates the hybrid inverters with a Smart Energy function for the storage connection. The AV-40 models do not carry this designation. The product page shows the details; if you are unsure, we will check together what suits your system.
Do I need an Energy Meter?
A meter at the grid connection makes it possible to record consumption and feed-in, for example for self-consumption control or display. Whether it is required for your device is stated in the manufacturer's documentation.
Can I integrate a wallbox (EV charger)?
With the EV Chargers, SMA offers its own wallboxes. Whether and how they work together depends on the inverter type and software. We are happy to inform you before you order.
