The Growatt SPF 5000 ES is an inverter that can be operated both with and without a battery. The maximum input voltage is 450VDC. The integration of an MPPT charge controller optimizes charging and discharging of the battery in order to extend its service life. Priority can be given to charging from the power grid or from the connected PV system. The system can also be monitored remotely via a Wi-Fi or GPRS dongle. Parallel scaling is supported.
Charge controller
The MPPT charge controller reduces the voltage of the panels to the level required to charge the battery. The current is increased in the same proportion as the voltage is reduced. The Hoymiles HMS-2000-4WB is the 2000-VA VA model of the HiFlow Pro series and was developed for mini solar systems as well as larger balcony power plants with up to four PV panels. Four independent MPP trackers regulate each panel input separately and thereby support optimized energy yield with different orientations or partial shading. The integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connects the microinverter directly to the cloud, while Bluetooth enables local setup and communication with the S-Miles Home app. With an MPPT voltage range of 16 to 60 V, a maximum of 65 V input voltage and up to 16 A input current per channel, the model is suitable for solar panels with a typical output of 400 to 670 W and more. The Flex-S3 plug-and-play cable system with a five-metre Schuko cable simplifies the AC connection. The Orion-Tr 12/24-10 from Victron Energy (MPN ORI122424110) is a galvanically isolated DC-DC voltage converter and provides a regulated DC voltage and thus trouble-free operation of your DC loads. The compact Orion-TR DC-DC voltage converter converts the DC input voltage (8-17V) into an adjustable 24V output voltage (18-30V) and delivers a constant continuous current of 10A, which corresponds to a power of 240W.
Thanks to the Orion-Tr 12/24-10, you can supply every 24V load with exactly the right voltage. The correct voltage is also ensured over longer cables, because the Orion can adjust the voltage to compensate for cable losses. For many sensitive electronic devices, maintaining the exact operating voltage is essential for smooth operation. Thanks to the remote on/off connection, a high-current switch in the input wiring is no longer necessary. The remote on/off connection can be controlled with a power-saving switch or by the engine's run/stop switch (see manual).
