Recovery of deeply discharged "dead" batteries
Unlike most other brands and product lines, the Blue Smart IP22 charger will try to recharge a deeply discharged battery by forcing a weak charging current on it. Normal charging operation then resumes as soon as sufficient voltage is present between the battery terminals.

Adaptive 7-stage charging algorithm
The 12/15(1) Blue Smart charger is distinguished by its microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management. "Adaptive" means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the way the battery is used.
Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is at rest
Storage mode is activated whenever no discharge has occurred within 24 hours. The float voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) in order to minimize gas formation and thus prevent corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised to the gassing voltage level. This achieves a kind of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation - the two main causes of premature battery failure.
