    The SmartSolar 100/20-48 from Victron Energy (MPN SCC110020160R) is one Mppt Solar Loader With 20A max. Charging current for charging 12V, 24V and 48V batteries. In contrast to the Bluesolar version, the Smart version has integrated Bluetooth, which makes buying a Bluetooth Dongles superfluous. In addition, there is communication with other Victron devices such as the Color Control GX or the Mppt Control continues to have a VE.Direct connection.

    The integrated Bluetooth in the SmartSolar series is the wireless solution to the setup, monitoring and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. Optionally, the MPPT Wirbox-S 100-20 from Victron Energy is the ideal addition to your SmartSolar Loader. The cable inputs or the connection terminals of the controller are covered safely and thus protected by external influences and touch.

    If the solar charging controller is unable to charge the battery within one day to its full capacity, the status of the battery constantly changes between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This operating mode (no regular charging) damages a lead-saucle battery within a few weeks or months.

    The Battery-Life Algorithm monitors the charging status of the battery and if necessary, it lifts the threshold to separate the load every day (i.e. the load is separated earlier) until the energy obtained is sufficient to charge the battery to almost 100 %. From this point, the threshold value for switching off the load is modulated, so that the charge is almost 100 % reached about once a week.
