Important information on disposal and handling of batteries

As a dealer of batteries or devices containing batteries, we are obliged by German battery laws to inform our customers about the following:

1. Disposal of used batteries:

Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste as they may contain harmful substances that can harm the environment and health. Customers are legally obliged to return used batteries. After use, you can return them free of charge to our sales point, to a municipal collection point or to a local retailer.

2. Labeling of batteries:

If batteries are marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol, this means that they should not be disposed of with household waste. Under this symbol you will also find the chemical symbols Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury) or Pb (lead) if the battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium or more than 0.004 mass percent lead.

3. Returns and Recycling:

Consumers can return batteries that they have received from us to us free of charge after use or send them back to us by post with sufficient postage (return address: NeueEnergie24, Wolfstalstrasse 34, 97209 Veitshöchheim).

4. Meaning of the battery symbols:

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can (see above). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium or more than 0.004 mass percent lead, the chemical symbol of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol - "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead, and “Hg” stands for mercury.”
