Cable by the metre: selection and advice
If the distance between panel and inverter does not suit a standard cable, cable by the metre is the solution (you will find ready-made cables under extensions): you order exactly the length you need.
Choose the cross-section according to power and run length and allow for some reserve. To assemble the cable you need suitable connectors and a crimping tool. If you would rather avoid that, a ready-made cable is the better choice.

Calculate the quantity with offcuts in mind: one to two metres of reserve make stripping and crimping easier. For outdoor installation, the cable should be rated for it; the product page gives details on material and suitability. The positive and negative leads run separately and are dimensioned individually.
