ABB protection devices and meters
ABB is an internationally active manufacturer of electrical engineering. This collection brings together miniature circuit breakers, residual current circuit breakers, meters and consumer units for meter cabinets and sub-distribution boards. It is aimed at electrical contractors and project planners.
For circuit breakers, rated current, tripping characteristic (B or C) and number of poles count. The designations state them directly: S201 stands for a single-pole breaker with neutral conductor, S203 for a three-pole one, each with details such as B25 or C40. For residual current protection, pay attention to the type. For meters, AC or three-phase current and MID suitability are relevant.
Our range includes the circuit breakers S201, S203 and S804N, the residual current circuit breakers FH204 and DS201/DS203NC, the meters B21, B23 and C11, and ZV16 consumer units.
Besides the protection devices, you will find meters for various purposes: B21 for AC, B23 for three-phase current, C11 as a compact meter with variants such as MID, as well as ZV16 consumer units for installation. The product pages show the differences in design and connection.
Which protection devices belong in your design is determined by the qualified electrician. For information on the range, you can reach us on +49 931 760 260 40 or by email at kontakt@energie24.shop.
Frequently asked questions
What does B25 or C40 mean?
The letter indicates the tripping characteristic, the number the rated current in amperes. Which combination is permissible for a circuit is determined by the qualified electrician based on the system design.
What is an RCD for?
It disconnects the circuit in the event of residual currents and protects against dangerous contact voltages. Types A and B differ in the kinds of residual current they detect. The right choice depends on the connected loads.
Are the meters suitable for billing?
That depends on the model. The designation MID on the product page shows that the device has corresponding conformity. For questions about billing, also contact your metering point operator.
