FAQ
Frequently asked questions about photovoltaics, balcony power plants and storage
Here you will find answers to the questions we are asked most often. If your question is not among them, we are happy to advise you personally.
Balcony power plants and solar technology
What is a balcony power plant?
A balcony power plant (plug-in solar system) is a small photovoltaic system made up of solar panels and an inverter. The electricity generated is fed directly into the home grid and reduces the amount of electricity drawn from the grid. The system can be mounted, for example, on a balcony, on a façade, on a flat roof or in a garden.
Do I have to register a balcony power plant?
To the best of our knowledge, a photovoltaic system must be registered in the Marktstammdatenregister (German market master data register, MaStR) of the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur). An additional notification to the grid operator may be required depending on the region. The requirements change from time to time. Please check with the Federal Network Agency and your grid operator before commissioning. This is not legal advice.
What power limit applies to the inverter?
Since the Solar Package I (2024), to the best of our knowledge, an inverter output of up to 800 watts applies to balcony power plants. The panel output may be higher. We are happy to clarify which combination makes sense for your project during a consultation.
How do sets with and without storage differ?
Sets without storage use the electricity generated directly. Sets with storage can temporarily store surplus electricity so that you can use it later in the day or in the evening. You will find both variants in our collections Sets without storage and Sets with storage.
How do I find the right battery storage?
That depends on your electricity consumption, the size of your system and your goal. Our Battery storage collection provides an overview. If you are unsure, tell us about your project and we will recommend suitable products.
Ordering, delivery and pickup
How long does delivery take?
For items in stock, we state a delivery time of 7 to 14 working days. For items marked “To order”, the goods are only ordered from the manufacturer, so the delivery time may be longer. You will find details on the page Shipping.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on weight, size and delivery location. Free shipping does not apply to freight shipments. All rate tiers are listed in our shipping policy.
Can I pick up the goods?
Yes, pickup is possible by arrangement at our warehouse in Veitshöchheim. Please arrange an appointment in advance on +49 931 760 260 40.
Which payment methods are available?
On our Payment terms page we list credit card, PayPal, bank transfer and Klarna. You will see which options are actually offered during the order process at checkout.
Invoice, tax and legal matters
Will I receive an invoice with 0% VAT?
For the supply and installation of certain photovoltaic systems on or at residential buildings, a tax rate of 0% may apply under § 12 (3) UStG (German VAT Act), currently up to 30 kWp. Whether this applies to your order depends on the individual case. Please contact us before ordering and, if in doubt, seek tax advice.
Which statutory warranty and manufacturer's guarantee apply?
The statutory warranty rights (liability for defects) apply, as described in our Terms and Conditions. Additional manufacturer's guarantees differ from product to product and are stated on the respective product page or in the manufacturer's documents. You will find data sheets under Downloads.
Can I return goods?
Yes, you will find the conditions for withdrawal and return on the page Right of withdrawal information & return policy.
