The new MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 (Victron Energy, PMP122120000) is the successor to the Multiplus Compact 12/1200. This device is a modern device combination consisting of a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced 50A battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology and a 16A high-speed AC transfer switch.
In the event of a power failure or if the shore power or on-board generator is interrupted, the Multi's inverter is automatically switched on and takes over the supply of power to the connected consumers. The switchover takes place so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Proven reliability
The complete bridging with a ring transformer topology has proven itself for years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating (whether caused by overload or by the ambient temperature).
PowerControl – (Multiplus 800VA 1200VA only).
The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum mains or generator current that can be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the power that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
PowerAssist – (Multiplus 800VA 1200VA only)
Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, ie consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
High inrush power
This is required to switch on loads with high inrush currents such as voltage converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools.
Search mode
When search mode is set to 'on', the inverter's power consumption is reduced by approximately 70% in no-load operation. In this mode, when the Multi is operating in inverter mode, it switches off at no load or at low load and switches back on for a short period every two seconds. If the output current exceeds a set limit, the inverter resumes operation. If this is not the case, the inverter switches off again.
Programmable relay
In the basic setting, the multifunction relay acts as an alarm relay, i.e. it switches the device off in the event of a fault (device gets too hot, hum voltage at the input is too high, battery voltage is too low).
