The new MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 (Victron Energy, PMP122120000) is the successor to the Multiplus Compact 12/1200. This device is a modern device combination consisting of a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced 50A battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a 16A high-speed AC transfer switch.
In the event of a grid fault or if the shore power or on-board generator is interrupted, the Multi's inverter is automatically switched on and takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic devices operate uninterrupted.

Proven reliability
Complete bridging with a ring transformer topology has proven itself for years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating (whether caused by overload or by the ambient temperature).
PowerControl – (Multiplus 800VA 1200VA only).
The maximum mains or generator current that can be drawn can be set using the Multi Control remote control panel. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and only uses the electricity that is “left over” for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
PowerAssist – (Multiplus 800VA 1200VA only)
Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that weak shore power or generator output is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e. h. If consumers are switched off, the sufficient energy available can then be used to charge the batteries.
High switching power
This is required to switch on loads with high inrush currents such as voltage converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools.
Search mode
If the search mode is set to 'on', the power consumption of the inverter at no-load operation is reduced by approximately 70%. In this mode, when the Multi is operating in inverter mode, it will turn off at no or light load and turn back on for a short period of time every two seconds. If the output current exceeds a set limit, the inverter resumes operation. If this is not the case, the inverter switches off again.
Programmable relay
In the basic setting, the multifunction relay acts as an alarm relay, i.e. it switches off the device in the event of a fault (device becomes too hot, hum voltage at the input too high, battery voltage too low).
