Restoration of deeply discharged "dead" batteries
Unlike most other brands and product ranges, the Blue Smart IP22 charger will attempt to recharge a deeply discharged battery by imposing a weak charging current on it. Normal charging operation will then resume as soon as there is sufficient voltage between the battery connections.

Adaptive 7-stage charging algorithm
The 12/15(3) Blue Smart charger is characterized by its microprocessor-controlled, “adaptive” battery management. “Adaptive” means that the charging process is automatically adapted to the type of battery use.
Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is idle
The storage mode is always activated if there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The trickle charge voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas development and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once pro week the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This creates a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation - the two main causes of premature battery failure.
