The product can be registered from 1 May 2021 in Spain and from 1 October 2021 worldwide. The purchase of the ACTIVE/COMFORT guarantee extension after the expiry of the SMA manufacturer's guarantee of 5 years (without product registration) is not possible for these products. Only in the case of proper product registration and the associated extension of the SMA manufacturer's guarantee to 10 years can the guarantee holder purchase the optional ACTIVE/COMFORT guarantee extension in accordance with the terms of the ACTIVE/ COMFORT guarantee extension for years 11 - 20 of the products. The option to purchase the FLEX guarantee extension in accordance with the terms of the FLEX guarantee extension remains available to the guarantee holder up to year 10 after commissioning of the product or invoicing of the first guarantee holder. SMA expressly reserves the right to grant the customer the ACTIVE/COMFORT/FLEX guarantee extension after an initial inspection of the device to be covered.
