The 3 kW screw-in heating element was developed specifically for use with the AC•THOR photovoltaic power manager, and the 9 kW screw-in heating element for use with the AC•THOR 9s photovoltaic power manager. The screw-in heating elements can be installed in fresh-water tanks and buffer tanks. Their special design results in very low thermal surface loads on the heating elements, which directly extends the product's service life.

The desired hot water temperature can be set with a rotary knob. The AC•THOR or AC•THOR 9s detects the shut-off and automatically switches to standby mode for minimal self-consumption.

A safety temperature limiter that complies with regulations is of course integrated.

Some projects, however, call for higher temperatures, for example when a buffer tank is to be charged to above 90°C. For this purpose, the screw-in heating elements are also available without a thermostat, with only the safety temperature limiter. To end the heating process, the temperature sensor supplied with the AC•THOR and the AC•THOR 9s must then always be used.
